  1. Project Goals

    • To connect international buyers (Demand-side) with producers in Thailand (Supply-side)
    • To create economic value in the craft industry within the Northern Economic Corridor (NEC)
    • To collaborate with communities in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, and Lampang in three craft sectors:
    – Food Craft
    – Recycle/Upcycling Craft
    – Contemporary Folk Craft

  2. Meeting with Royal Danish Academy

    • Discussion with Ms. Mathilde Aggebo, Head of Design
    • Planning a collaborative product design project
    • Preparing to invite researchers from the academy to share knowledge with communities in Chiang Mai within this year

  3. Discussion with Lucie Kaas Company

    • Meeting with the management and owner of the company that manufactures and exports Kokeshi wooden dolls to over 50 countries
    • Discussing the possibility of collaborating on Kokeshi Doll production with woodworking and carving communities in Lamphun
    • The company expressed interest and is ready to visit Thailand in the second half of the year to develop products through a pilot project
